About The Artist Jimmie and Donna Bomar were from a younger generation of entertainers out of Bakersfield, California in the mid-1950s. Jimmie was quite a talent at his young age. Just after learning to strum the guitar for a few months, he took to winning several local talent shows at the schools, and county fairs. No mention was made in the 1956 article of any appearances on the local Bakersfield radio stations, but it did mention that they had appeared over KSRV out of Ontario, Oregon.
