About The Group The Thomas Brothers, Melvin and Elvin, appeared to be from Nashville, Tennessee based on our research to date. In 1957, they were recording for the Mar-Vel label and had released "Way High Way Low" and "Heart Broken". Melvin played the mandolin and sang lead, while Elvin played the guitar and sang tenor. Around this time, they were being booked with Ann Young, who at one time had toured for a year with Rod Brasfield's shows. In 1957, they were being handled by the McConkey Booking Agency out of Chicago. Credits & Sources
