About The Group The West Virginia Sweethearts were what they called Charlie and Honey Miller. Honey was said to be quite a yodeler in her time. Charlie and Honey got started when they were playing on radio station WCHS in Charleston in 1945. From there, they worked at WSM in Nashville and also the Renfro Valley Barn Dance. They were both natives of West Virginia.. Charlie played the mandolin and guitar. Honey played the guitar and bass.
