About The Artist

Swedish-born Gunilla Hutton (birth surname Wiklund) is primarily an actress who gained her main fame on the country-flavored sit-com Petticoat Junction and then had a nineteen year career on Hee! Haw! Born in Gothenburg, she came to the US as a child and was reared in Fort Worth, Texas.

While best remembered for her role as "Nurse Goodbody" in the medical skits with Archie Campbell, Hutton also proved herself to be a capable vocalist having four singles to her credit.

In the summer of 1977, Gunilla changed her name to Monica Hutton. She thought it would be easier for audiences to remember. But the producers of Hee! Haw! said "Gunilla" was fine with them, so on the show, she remained as "Gunilla."
