About The Artist
Howard "Scotty" Scott was known as the Master of his Triple-neck Steel Guitar. His sound painted the musical backdrop behind all of the Hayloft Frolic singing stars. According to a 1955 article, he had worked with several acts prior to joining up with Uncle Bob Hardy's troupe.
Scotty was always featured on the Frolic's WTTV Television show that originated in Bloomington, Indiana, as well as their personal appearance tours throughout Southern Indiana and Eastern Illinois. The Hayloft Frolic was Scotty's first television show.
Scotty was a former long distance Semi-truck driver but he turned in his 18 wheels for his Gibson Steel Guitar.
After the Hayloft Frolic ended its popular run over WTTV, Scotty was the steel guitar heard behind many Decca Recordings.
Scotty finally retired to Vincennes, Indiana where both he and his steel guitar lay silent.
