About The Artist
Daylon Hicks was a young hillbilly singer from the state of Texas. Early on, when he was just 12, he got the attention of Red River Dave when he sang on a children's program over WOAI out of San Antonio. He started touring with Red River Dave and even recorded "Change Pardners" on the Marathon Label for Red River Dave. His popularity was such that he was in demand for television appearances over WOAI-TV and KEYL in San Antonio. He continued to achieve some success and won many a talent contest, including one that earned him a regular Saturday afternoon show over KWBU out of Corpus Christi, Texas. Later on, he recorded "You Broke My Heart" and "Faded Roses" which got him his own 15-minute show over KBOP out of Pleasanton, Texas. Credits & Sources
