Charles K. (Keith) Wolfe was born in Sedalia, Missouri in 1943.
He wrote numerous books as one can see in the listing on this page.
He was also a major contributor and supporter of the annual International Country
Music Conference that is held Nashville, Tennessee at Belmont University.
The 2006 conference was held in memory of Charles K. Wolfe. In subsquent years,
the conference has included the "Charles K. Wolfe Memorial Panel" as part
of the agenda beginning in 2007.

His obituary indicates he received his M.A. in English from the University of Kansas.
He later received his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas in 1970. He was a professor
of English, folklore and science fiction for 35 years at MTSU (Middle Tennessee State
University). He was awarded professor emeritus status in 2005.
He married Mary Dean King on October 16, 1966 in Walnut Grove, Missouri.
They had two daughters, Stacey and Cynthia.
In February 2012, the family of Dr. Charles K. Wolfe signed a deed-of-gift donating Dr. Wolfe's collection of sound recordings to
the Center of Popular Music (CPM).
