About The Artist Ells and Millie Rand were known as "The Sweethearts of the Air" in the 1940s. They had a half-hour daily show that aired at 8:20am over radio station WJDA out of Quincy, Massachusetts. On Saturday nights, they handled the emcee chores for the jamboree that was broadcast from Jack Witschi's Sports Arena in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. They were also doing shows over WEAN in Providence, Rhode Island. Credits & Sources
