About The Artist
Parker Willson was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Herbert G. Willson. In October of 1952, he was working with Burris Mills as part of the legendary western swing group, "Light Crust Doughboys" on a network of 28 stations in the south. Back then, Hank Thompson was the singer getting the top billing. By 1955, he was working on radio station KXOl in Fort Worth, Texas.
