About The Artist

This native of Hanover, Pennsylvania was born in 1924. Growing up, Leonard T. Zinn found his interests in fishing and hiking until one day he heard the tones of the Hawaiian guitar over the air and gave him a musical itch. He put his efforts into learning and studying music and then got offered a job teaching when he was just 17.

He worked with many stars of the famed WSM Grand Ole Opry, and also played steel guitar backup on many records. Around 1956, he was recording on his own label, Fleet Records.
