Charlie Dial was a featured act on the Mutual Network's Tennesse Jamboree show around 1951. By then, he had been on the radio for ten years and made personal appearances in about 30 states. At that time, he was doing a show with his guitar picking and singing, perhaps sponsored by a feed company, over WMC in Memphis, TN. Credits & Sources
