About The Artist
They called him "Skyland Scotty" because he came from the "land of the sky" in the Carolinas. Back before he met and married Lulu Belle and they became a duet, he sang the old-fashioned songs of the hills and was known to write a new tune every once in a while. They speculated that because he had a far away look in his eyes when he sang songs about a girl in the hills, their might be a romantic item, but back in 1935, he was still single. Penned one of the all time classic country songs "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You". Timeline and Trivia Notes
