About The Artist We have found a few mentions of Inez Hellman as well as an old fan club snapshot that fell out of an old journal. Inez was a disc jockey or performer working at radio station WZIP over in Covington, Kentucky, which is across the river from Cincinnati. This was around the mid-1950s. She was writing a column about the musical efforts in Cincinnati for the "Pickin' and Singin' News" newspaper that was published in Nashville. Our research shows that she also recorded a few tunes for what appear to be local Cincinnati based labels. A June 1955 Billboard column mentions she was the fan club president for Rudy Hansen of WLW. The fan club hosted a basket picnic for its 433 members at Hillbilly Park, which was located near Newark, Ohio on July 18. Ms. Hellman appears to also have worked at WNOP based on some interet searches we have done. Credits & Sources
