About The Artist
One of the big stars of the Western Swing sound, Johnny Lee was one of the mainstays on KVOO out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. On February 9, 1954, he was celebrating his 20th anniversary with them. At that time, during one of their 6000 plus weekday shows over that time span, they had a big old party for him that was attended by a live audience and the radio audience tuning in. If the name sounds familiar, it is, as he was the brother of the legendary, Country Music Hall of Famer, Bob Wills. Don't worry, we'll have more about Johnny Lee and his career as time goes by.
