About The Artist

One of the earliest performers on WSM's Grand Ole Opry. He was a fiddler for Paul Warmack's Gully Jumpers. He also made some solo appearances in 1927. He also appeared with Tom Andrews and T. J. Givens, with R. E. Hudgens, the Wilkerson Brothers, and the Gully Jumpers.

He was the fiddler on the first version of "Tennessee Waltz" that the Gully jumpers recorded in 1928.
