George V. Riddle went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2014. He was born on September 1, 1935, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Clay Riddle and Lottie (Teal) Riddle.

George teamed up with his older brother, Walt, singing in the area and won their first talent contest at a medicine show. This led to a steady job in the show traveling throughout Indiana, that sister Roberta and husband, Roy, escorted George and Walt to the venues. At that time George was 10 and Walt was 13. Later the brothers were heard on stations WBAT and WMRI for several years.

He is survived by his sisters, Roberta King and Lola (Ron) Miller both of Marion; daughter, Suzanne Fiser of Toledo, OH; grandchildren Benjamin Fiser and Jacob (Kelli) Fiser; one great-grandchild Jade Fiser and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Winther, Rosie Shaffer, and Lavada Bobo and six brothers, Omer Riddle, Henry Riddle, Stanley Riddle, Kenneth Riddle, Elmer Riddle, and Walt Riddle.

Funeral service will be held at Grace Community Church 1810 E. Bradford Pike, Marion, Indiana on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 23, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. , at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 2768 W. AVON AVE. MARION, IN 46953, Cancer services of Grant County, 305 S Norton St, Marion, IN 46952, or Marion VA Recreation Services, 1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953.
