Charlotte (Penny) DeHaven received a new song and her new life with God on February 23, 2014. Born May 17, 1948 in Winchester, Virginia.

Penny DeHaven began her career in country music at the WWVA Jamboree in Wheeling prior to moving to Nashville and finding success nationally both on the music charts and on the stage, including the stage of the Grand Ole Opry where she was a frequent guest.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior in 1979 and since shared her testimony and songs for audiences globally. In recent years, she expanded her interests beyond music to include working with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Penny is permanently endeared to an extended family of music industry friends, and forever beloved in the hearts of a close family of personal friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Christ Church. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Christ Church Memorial Gardens.
