Jeanette Hines Hicks, age 78, of Texarkana, TX died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at her daughters’ home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Hicks was born April 20, 1933 in Texarkana, TX. She was a homemaker, a member of Rose Hill Church of Christ and was inducted into the Louisiana Hayride Hall of Fame.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Hicks.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and Don Holder of Texarkana, TX and Donna Glod of Dallas, TX; one son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Kathy Hicks of Texarkana, TX; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Gayle Hines of Texarkana, TX and Bill and Mary Hines of Shreveport, LA; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Larry Spakes of Texarkana, TX; five grandchildren, Lori Holder of Texarkana, TX, Drew Holder of Austin, TX, Whitney Glod of Dallas, TX, Hollye Hicks of Texarkana, TX, Steve Hicks of Atlanta, TX and numerous other family and friends.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Monholland officiating. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2011 at the funeral home.
