Omer L. "Shorty Chesser," 83, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2005, at Caritas Hospital.

He was a native of Louisville, a TV and radio personality with "Early Morning Frolic" and "Hayloft Hoedown," a real estate broker and a Nazarene by faith.

He was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Army and a member of the American Federation of Musicians.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolores Hiner Chesser; daughter, Carole Ramey (Larry); son, Tim Chesser (Pam); grandchildren, Larry A. Ramey, Jonathan & Lauren Chesser; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2005, at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2005, from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2005, and after 10 a.m. on Monday, all at the funeral home.
