Tickets are now on sale for the Bluegrass in the Smokies festival and the Bluegrass in the Smokies schedule for this year is now available at www.bluegrassinthesmokies.com.

This site also includes a printable flyer for the event.

Here is a little bit of general information on this year’s festival:

The 8th Annual Bluegrass in the Smokies festival will take place on August 23rd, 24th, and 25th, 2007 at the Riverside RV Park and Resort, 4280 Boyd’s Creek Highway, Sevierville, TN 37873.

The theme for this year’s event will be “Bigger and Better than Ever.” In fact, this year’s lineup is one of our best offerings to date. Scheduled entertainers for 2007 include:

  • Larry Sparks
  • The Claire Lynch Band
  • Blue Highway
  • Alecia Nugent
  • IIIrd Tyme Out
  • Bradley Walker
  • Paul Williams and the Victory Trio
  • The Anita Fisher Band with Ray Deaton
  • The Fritts Family
  • The Virginia Cross Ties
  • The Dean Osborne Band
  • The VW Boys
  • Instrumental workshops by Tim Stafford, Jim Hurst, and E. C. Miller
  • And more!

A new addition to this year’s festival is the Bluegrass in the Smokies Guitar, Banjo, and Band competition. Over the course of three days contestants will compete in these categories for prizes and (in the case of the band contest) cash prizes with a combined value of over $10,000.

The ticket prices for this year are as follows:

Thurs.- $17 (in advance); $20 (at the gate)
Fri.- $23 (in advance); $25 (at the gate)
Sat. - $25 (in advance); $27 (at the gate)
3 Day - $58 (in advance); $65 (at the gate)

Advance orders must arrive before 08/13/07

Also, if your planning to camp I would recommend making reservations as soon as possible since the campground has sold out for several years in a row before the festival.
