About The Group

In 1957, The Ole-Time Country Boys were working in Milton, Pennsylvania, a town a bit north of Harrisburg. The group consisted of four members. By 1957, only two of the original members were still with the group, though no mention was made of the other two original members. They had a radio program that aired six days a week from 6:40am to 7:00am over WMIP and also a 45-minute sponsored show that aired from 12:30pm to 1:15pm on Saturday afternoons.

Hank Heimbach was one of the original members of the group was said to be a veteran "...in the countrified show business" and handled one of the lead roles for the group, doing emcee chores as well as the comedy. LaRue "Cookie" Cook was the other original member still with the group in 1957, was mentioned as program director and said to be quite a mandolin player.
