The Hometowners
WLW Midwestern Hayride

About the Group

About The Group

Although there is a group called the Hometowners that appeared on WLS back in 1936, this does not appear to be the same group. They were based in Cincinnati, Ohio and working on WLW's Midwestern Hayride. The group may have made some appearances out side of the midwest as they were said to be rated tops with folks in the Western part of the United States and rated highly with the folks in the Eastern United States, too. Kenny Price went on to have a career as a solo vocalist, too and enjoyed several hits on the RCA Victor label.
