About The Group

Back about 1953 or so, you could have been listening to this quartet of entertainers called the Roving Cowboys over WNL out of Boonville, Indiana. They ranged from 16 years to 42 years of age.

The youngest person of the group was also their leader--Herbie Houchin. Herbie did most of the vocals and strummed the guitar, too. The band was managed by Manford Houchin and did quite few personal appearances in the area.
