About the Group
About The Group The Browns were a family act from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. At first it was just Jim Ed and Maxine that started singing together at an early age and kept getting encouragement from those that heard them locally. Around 1954 or so, Fabor Robison signed them on to his Fabor Records label. They soon found that their younger sister Bonnie had grown up and could sing, too and she joined the act. Bonnie joined the group just about the time they made the move to the RCA Victor record label. Around 1956 or so, they put the act on hold while Jim Ed served in the military.
