About The Group

A WHO Iowan Barn Dance Frolic booklet from 1942-1943 called them "The D Sisters." Their names were Vonnie, Margo and Helen. Other research indicates that there may have been five sisters as part of the act at one time or another.

Their parents were Robert and Myrtle Dillman from Chariton, IA.

The D Sisters (The Three D's):

  • Margo - Ethel Marguerite (Dillman) Miletich (B: February 14, 1926 — D: December 7, 2000)
  • Helen Pearl (Dillman) Gilmore (B: October 2, 1924 — D: March 23, 2018)
  • Louise Winifred (Dillman) Krutsinger (B: October 21, 1911 — September 27, 2004)
  • Pauline Elizabeth (Dillman) Timmerman (B: May 28, 1916 — D: December 6, 2016)
  • Maxine (Dillman) Peasley (B: September 13, 1917 — D: March 2, 2010)
  • Lucille Mae (Dillman) Shelton (B: February 28, 1919 — D: April 6, 2005)

They were a part of the WHO Iowa Barn Dance Frolic in Des Moines, IA.
