About The Group

The leader of the Lone Star Rangers was Wes Lutgen, who played steel guitar and fiddle. While "Lone Star" might conjure up a vision of Texas, the band was playing back in 1951 over three New York radio stations. The band also entertained fans with square dancing as part of its show.
