About The Disc Jockey / Emcee

As his nickname would attest to, Mr. Thomas came from the Lone Star State and his western drawl got him a lot of radio friends.

Texas Bill followed in Walter Patterson's shoes. He had many originations as they called it, and was often imitated they say, but no one could. He had a unique way of asking the audience's well being as he opened his Jamboree performances with a ... "How Are You All Tonite?".

The 1942 WWVA Jamboree song folio said he had a hearty laugh and enthusiasm; he stayed with the Jamboree until Uncle Sam called him to duty.
