About The Disc Jockey / Emcee

Jack was not only an announcer at WLS, including the National Barn Dance, but also the leader in Morning Devotions. At one time, he had studied for the ministry.

They said he always had an interest in people and their problems and was often heard around the studio... 'let me read you a paragraph from this letter.'

Later on around 1947, he was married to "Christine", otherwise known as the Little Swiss Miss on the National Barn Dance.

He not only announced on the National Barn Dance, but did many other programs and was in 'demand' for things such as dramatic productions that required a 'special interpretation'.
