About the Disc Jockey / Emcee

Around 1955/1956, Johnny Hicks was a co-producer of KRLD's Big "D" Jamboree along with Johnny Harper. He was also a bit of a singer, doing recordings for Columbia. Johnny was also a bit of a songwriter, composing such hits as "Honey Bun" and "Nuevo Laredo".
