About The Artist Pete Ross started playing the accordion at the early age of six years old. Pete's career took a bit of a winding trail from what we could tell in a short article on a in 1956 magazine. At one time prior to the mid-1950s, he had worked at radio station KNOX in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He continued to travel as many musicians did then and worked on shows with such acts as Hawkshaw Hawkins, Ray Little, Harold 'Lone' Pine and Betty Cody. He was said to be able to sing a "...Western ditty the way it was meant to be sung" and also displayed some comedic talents. By 1956, he was being heard over WMTW in Poland Springs, Maine on a television show called the "Rhythm Ranch". Credits and Sources
