Danny Clark

About The Artist

Danny Clark started entertaining folks when he was just six years old. He worked with his mom and dad in the Jean Corn Quartet in his home town of Ohoopee, Georgia. Along the way, he learned to play the drums, bass, guitar and also became a singer.

For a time he played the nightclub circuit with his own band in the Southwest and far West. He was in the U.S. Navy for three years. After fulfilling his service obligations, he turned to radio as a career and hitched up with WDAR in Savannah, Georgia where he was program director in 1954. He was heard twice a day, from 10:00am to 12:00noon and from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. He called his show "Danny's Dilemma", that featured the best in "...hillbilly music."
