and the Buckaroo Ranch Gang
WWVA Original Jamboree

About The Artist

They called him "Cowboy Jack" and he started to play the guitar and accordion when he was all of ten years old. He got into radio when he was part of Gay Schwing's "Mountaineers" when they were on WHJB out of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Later on, he worked on other stations such as WWVA out of Wheeling, West Virginia. Mid 1954 found him at WEDO out of McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

Back around 1950, Cowboy Jack formed his famous "Buckaroo Ranch Gang" and as they say, success was always with him. The gang had a regular weekly 9:30-10:00am show on Saturdays and the group travelled throughout the Mid-Atlantic states for personal appearances.
