Jim Early
and the Westerners

About The Artist

Back in Tennessee in early 1953, you could tune in every Saturday morning on radio station WGNS for thirty minutes of western swing and good ole country music. The folks on that show were Jim Early and his Westerners.

Jim Early and The Westerners had a unique common thread in their group - they were all in the Air Force and stationed at Sewart Air Force Base, near Nashville.

Then, Jim was 20 years old, 5'10" tall, dark brown hair and a native of Knoxville, Tennessee.
