About The Artist

Back in 1953 and 1954, Gary Williams had his own sponsored radio show out of Spokane, Washington. In May 1954 he achieved a bit of name for himself by hitch-hiking to the Jimmie Rodgers Memorial Day in Meredian, Mississippi. He was one of the featured acts on the show then and had been going back to the show each year since. He got the name "Travlin' Blues Boy' as a result.

Gary also appeared on the "Town Hall Party" that was on in San Francisco since June 1955.

He was due to release an album on the Verve Records label entitled "The Travelin' Blues Boy".
