About The Artist

In 1953, Georgie Riddle was a 17 year old singer on radio station WBAT in Marion, Indiana and had already been in show business eight years. He did a lot of personal appearances around the state of Indiana. One of his accomplishments was an appearance on Horace Heidt's "Youth Opportunity Show", where he finished second in the Indiana contest.

Back then, he had a 55 minute show over WBAT and was also starring on the Hoosierland Jamboree, even though he was just a high school senior.
