About The Artist

Jack Anglin was a native of Columbia, Tennessee. He was part of the famous "Johnnie and Jack" duo team - the other being Johnnie Wright (who was the husband of Kitty Wells).

Jack's dad taught him to play the guitar. While he was playing on a radio station he happened to meet Johnnie Wright and they formed an act called "Johnnie and Jack and the Tennessee Mountain Boys".

Johnnie and Jack also collaborated on many tunes. By 1952, they had already been to 38 states and made over 3,000 personal appearances.
