About The Artist
Linda Brannon joined the famed KWKH Louisiana Hayride cast when she was just seventeen years old back in 1957. One magazine article notes she was born in Longview, Texas, but attended school in Arkansas and later moved to Shreveport in 1954. Elsewhere it is mentioned she was born in Harrison, Arkansas. She did several recordings for the RAM (Royal Audio Music, Inc.) label and already had a couple of releases when she joined the Hayride cast in September of 1957. Her first appearance as a professional singer was with the "Big Horn Train Show". Her first theater appearance was with the Coutr Yard Players in Shreveport. Linda married Jerry Kennedy, who went on to become one the producers on the Mercury Records label. Credits & Sources
