About The Artist
Tommy Bellamy was working with Uncle Henry's Kentucky Mountaineers for a few years, playing over the air on about 21 different radio stations with the group. He got his start as a radio entertainer when he was just 18 years old. By 1951, he had branched out on his own and had his own show over WKAY out of Glasgow, Kentucky. We have an old song folio of Uncle Henry's Kentucky Mountainners that was put out by Hill and Range Songs in 1948, however, and unfortunately, it doesn't mention Tommy Bellamy. Credits & Sources
