Pete Brady
and the Playboys

About The Artist

We first found mention of Pete Brady and the Playboys in 1957, an act that was working in Toronto, and had just completed their sixth engagement at the Bermuda Tavern on Younge Street. The group also had a comedic wardrobe, so it appears they were quite versatile entertainers. In 1956, they completed a successful tour of Goose Bay, Labrador, where they entertained the American troops.

Timeline & Trivia Notes Group members:

  • Pete Brady, bass
  • Pat Brady, Spanish guitar (Pete's brother)
  • Bill Jones, steel guitar
  • Bob Tilson, lead Spanish guitar
