Al Olsen and the Western Rangers got together back about 1946 or 1947 and were a popular act on the west coast.

Not much else has been found about this group except the names of the band. A 1951 article noted they were starting a busy personal appearance season at the Yosemite Junction to be followed by a gig at the Tamarack Lodge.
