Rocky Arnold
and his Texas Range Riders
KGYW Vallejo, CA

About The Artist

Rocky Arnold and his Texas Range Riders were popular in the San Francisco area back in 1951, being heard over KGYW out of Vallejo. Their five day a week show had three sponsors and by 1951, had been on the air over a year and a half. They finished a year's gig at one night spot and were then playing at the Coronado Inn.

Rocky and the band signed a recording contract with the Cormac Recording Company based in Hollywood and an article we found noted that one of the songs slated for their first studio session was their tune, "Sand In My Shoes".
