Curly haired Slim Adams was singing and playing the guitar by the time
he was 12 years old and by the time he was 17, his personal appearances
around the state of Indiana were making quite a name for him.
Slim got his first break when he auditioned for radio station WANE
in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and ended up with his own show. He stayed with
them until he was heard by Bob Sievers on WOWO as part of the "Country
Music Talent Contest" in which Slim was both a judge and a guest star.
As a result of that, he moved to WOWO, a 50,000 watt station broadcasting
at 1190am. He had a show that aired every Saturday morning at 10:45am.
