Reed Dunn, The Singing Mountaineer
WWVA Original Jamboree

Reed Dunn was a native of Wolf Run, West Virginia who was known as the Singing Mountaineer on the WWVA Jamboree. When you heard his theme song, "Way Down in Arkansas", you know you were hearing Reed Dunn.

He not only was a singer of hillbilly ballads and played the guitar but was also an avid fan of riding motor cycles and hunting.

He was just about exactly six feet tall, weighing around 195 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.
