Leslie Palmer
and Jack Hilliard
WRDW Augusta, GA

About The Artist

Sammy Forsmark told his readers back in 1941 that listeners to WRDW in August, Georgia would get to hear more Leslie Palmer and Jack Hilliard since the station would soon be upgraded to enable broadcasting at 5,000 watts.

Our research turned up a small nugget from The Columbia News from October 20, 1938 that mentioned that Leslie and Jack would be performing a special feature at the Appling Courthouse. That appearance was in conjunction with a Fiddler's Convention that was being held at 8:00pm at the Appling Courthouse. Some of the bands that were to be on that show were Warrenton Band, the Thomson Band, the Lincolnton Band, the Grovetown Band and the Appling Band.
