About The Artist

A native Texan, he grew up idolizing the songs of Jimmie Rodgers, listening to his tunes by the hour. Charlie was a bit of a Disc Jockey himself before he became a singing star and a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He spun the records for a bit on KMAC out of San Antonio, Texas.
