Dickie Glowe

About The Artist

Back about 1955 or so, the magazines seemed to like to give a few of the young singers some press. Dickie Glowe was one of those young stars back then, all of ten years old and was already showcasing his talent for his home town folks of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

He was part of his father's band, "Norris and his Rio Grande Cowboys" and was actually a bit of a scene stealer they quote his father as relating. He'd often be brought back for repeat encores.

Dickie liked to listen to the old records at the time on the phonograph at home they wrote. He said it not only gave him a chance to hear the different tunes, but helped him memorize new songs to do on stage.

Dickie got some air time over the local radio stations and appeared on WTCH in Shawano and WMBR in Marinette, Wisconsin.
