About The Artist Keith Kolby and the Desert Sons were a hot group in the Phoenix area back in the late 1950s. They made appearances at the local clubs of note, such as Riverside Ballroom, Silver Saddle Club, Sciat's Ballroom and the Parada Del Sol Rodeo in Scottsdale. They also toured statewide. Cowboy Songs December 1957 writes that their style was somewhat of a mix between Bob Wills, Hank Thompson and Rock 'n' Roll. They had a good following with the younger crowds that attended the shows and dances.
